The Everyday Moments That Shape School Culture
School culture is shaped less by strategy documents and more by everyday interactions: the tone of meetings, the quality of conversations, and how leaders respond in moments of pressure, uncertainty, or change.
When leaders lack effective communication skills, emotional intelligence, or an understanding of core human needs and drivers, even well-intentioned leadership can inadvertently undermine trust, engagement, and wellbeing.
The Positive Leadership Program helps school leaders develop and consistently apply research-based (and highly contagious!) approaches to cultivating a motivating and uplifting climate through daily interactions.

Solution-Focused Conversation Tools for Leaders
Shift the Dialogue and Support Growth

In this interactive workshop, we’ll broaden your solution-focused toolkit with evidence-based strategies for helping your team members grow personally and professionally through sharpening your shared focus on what’s wanted, what’s working, and what’s next.
We’ll practice identifying clues in people’s narratives that point to what they want to see more of in their life and work, indicators of progress they’ve already made in that direction, and resources they might activate further, to help them maintain momentum toward their desired outcomes.
Building upon these conversational markers, we’ll apply techniques for formulating person-centered, solution-focused questions and lines of inquiry. We’ll also discuss how to practice empathetic reframing of “problem talk” in ways that honor the person’s lived experience while also highlighting relevant values and motivators that can be applied to creating desired changes.

Participants in this workshop will…

-
Develop compassionate, curative listening skills to focus attention on what is wanted
-
Formulate questions that generate resource-based, future-focused lines of inquiry
-
Practice reframing problem descriptions as indicators of purpose and progress
Strengths-Based Conversation Tools for Leaders
Nurture Talent and Boost Impact

In this interactive workshop, leaders will develop strategies to coach individual team members by recognizing and building on their strengths. We’ll explore ways to foster growth, confidence, and engagement through individualized, strengths-based conversations that support development and performance. Through discussion and practice, leaders will refine their ability to facilitate one-to-one conversations that empower their team members to function at their very best.
We’ll work with a flexible, strengths-based framework for tailoring coaching approaches based on an individual’s capabilities and motivation. Leaders will learn how to adapt their conversations to provide the right balance of support and challenge, ensuring that each team member receives the guidance they need to grow and contribute effectively.

Participants in this workshop will…

-
Use person-centered, strengths-based coaching strategies to support individual growth and development
