Practical Tools and Perspectives for Helping Others Learn and Grow
Develop strengths-based, solution-focused ways of thinking, communicating, and coaching that help others recognize their resources, expand possibilities, and move forward with greater agency.

Why Develop a Coaching Approach?
Developing a coaching mindset and skillset can strengthen the way you listen, ask questions, and help others think, learn, grow, and move forward.
You don’t need to be - or want to become - a professional coach to put coaching skills to work. They can become part of how you communicate, collaborate, teach, lead, mentor, facilitate, and support others every day.
Positive Psychology Coaching Foundations is designed for anyone who supports the learning and development of others, including teachers, school leaders, counselors, instructional coaches, mentors, facilitators, HR professionals, student support staff, business and operational staff, and others whose work involves supporting people.
A Two-Stage Learning Experience
Positive Psychology Coaching Foundations takes you through two progressive stages - first experiencing strengths-based, solution-focused principles for yourself, then learning to bring them into person-centered coaching conversations that help others recognize their resources, expand possibilities, and find their own way forward.

The Positive Foundation Program
Who we are in a coaching conversation matters as much as the coaching skills we bring to it. Before learning how to coach others, you’ll explore and experience firsthand the strengths-based, solution-focused building blocks that form the foundation for our approach.
Learn to recognize and use your own unique strengths effectively and become more attuned to the strengths you notice in others. Explore the pillars of a solution-focused mindset and experience what happens when you intentionally apply them in your own life and work.
Through your Strengths Profile assessment, interactive activities, reflection, and peer coaching conversations, you’ll develop greater self-awareness and a deeper understanding of key positive psychology principles before learning how to apply them in coaching conversations.
You'll explore how to...

Explore the relationship between strengths and energy
-
Optimize known strengths and activate hidden talents
-
Explore how attention and language shape next steps
-
Differentiate solution-focused thinking from toxic positivity
